IN DASH BOOST or Boost gauge users

With all this talk of which "IN Dash boost is better or having a dedicated boost gauge Is best" is kind of ridiculous. From what I see, you control boost with the throttle. If you don't like the feature, learn how much throttle pressure is being applied at different intervals. Compare them with the gauge and then mentally know where boost pressure is at.

I understand that a boost gauge is critical in racing a turbo car but correct me if I'm wrong.

you can really feel much difference between 19 psi and 21 psi nor 2 psi and 4 psi. it's best to have guage if you are pushing your car to the limit... on stock, who cares....

I agree, hence I started the tread.

Dude, you got it all wrong. I suggest you read up on how forced induction works and the complications that arise with tuning before opening threads like this.

There are a lot of good articles out there.

What's the point of this thread?
It's obvious some don't understand the relationship between a boost reading and engine reliability when modifying a car to make more horsepower.
I would hazard a guess that many see it as pointless but for someone running an engine for peak performance, it's ability to diagnose boost leaks, overboost conditions due to wastegate or divertor valve blow off issues is detriment to the health and longevity of a turbocharger working outside it's intended design.
Also it's great to see how Shiv tuned the Procede so boost follows the gas pedal position. Not all tunes do that so consistantly.

How did I know ill get flock for this.
I'm all for this, just don't know why the haters hate the idea of having an integrated gauge IN DASH.

Looking back on it, I don't think it made as much sense as when I was thinking about it. I just had gotten back homefrom the night before with no sleep. I just got up as i only slept from 4-8. Anyways, I love the innovation and don't know why people are critiquing it so much, thus I thought why not just the throttle. I yet to still install the Procede since my dealer visit 2 weeks ago. So I'm blind of the new enhancement as of late.

Haters hate posts like this one dude, not the gauge. Do you start threads like this when you're high and then realize how meaningless it is and make up a story of why you did it?

A boost gauge, which gets the proper attention, or fresh RL logs is needed if you don’t want to get your ass smoked in a competition towards tuned cars. Been there Known boost is first priority in a turbo vechicle that has to perform.
