more high beam output
Hello all, I am new to this site but certainly not new to BMWs. I've owned eight over the years. I just bought an '07 335xi and have a lighting question. In the European versions of the E90 with zenons, the inside, non zenon light also illuminates when the high beams are on. On US versions, only the outside lamp changes pattern. I would like to have both on when my high beams are on. (Both the zenons and the lights that go on when you "flash to pass.")
I was able to make the change on an Audi I have using their VAG software. I switched from USA to "Scandinavian". Can we do this with our cars? Thanks so much. p.s. I did a search and saw nothing, so please don't flame me. |

I think it's against US DOT regulations to have both sets of lights on or something like that. That's why the fog lights turn off when you use your high beams. Maybe you can wire it somehow.

Non US-spec coding is quite possible. You might have to take a drive up to Canada and stop by an indy shop.
Other than that it can be done through some rewiring. Not sure if it's worth the trouble |
