Final order will look like:
528i
Sophisto Gray
Cinnamon interior
8sp Sport (standard)
iPOD usb+bluetooth (standard)
Nav
600watt Hifi
rear camera/softclose trunk/power rear shade (they have a special on this combo)
If you want that much option, please consider 535i or 550i. People wouldn't add much $$ for your options when you resell your car.

and
528iA 2,996 cc 258hp 6-cylinder HK$598,000*
535iA 2,979 cc 306 hp 6-cylinder HK$738,000*

with the options your adding, the price is around 650k? the 535i would be a much quicker car 0-100 in 6 secs or lower? that is a damn quick car

Here is my findings on HK F10 features:

523iA Executive
8speed non-sport
IPod/USB
17" Style 236 V Wheels

523iA upgrades
8Sp Sports auto
IPod/USB
17" Style 236 V Wheels
Sunroof
Bluetooth

528iA
8Sp Sports auto
IPod/USB
17" Style 236 V Wheels
Bluetooth
no sunroof

535iA
8Sp Sports auto
IPod/USB
17" Style 236 V Wheels
Bluetooth
sunroof
6-disc DVD changer
alarm system

I am coming from 335i, and I don't want that engine in hong kong. its too fast and a with the traffic etc, would be frustrating to drive. Only test drove the 523iA and up to 100kph found that to be quite nice and smooth because the 8sp sport transmission is that good. Felt faster than an 325iA which was surprising because the gearbox is that good.

If i forget about sunroof (which is standard in 523iA but not on 528iA), then only 20k price increase between 523iA and 528iA for almost 20% increase in torque/HP which is why going with 528iA.

I am only looking at 3 options (rest of the options are standard):
Nav
HiFi premium
Camera

none of these are standard on 535iA.

if I get nav, the total comes to ~700,000k for 528iA. only 20k difference between 523iA and 528iA.

Other then that, navigation is a fancy gizmo that's nice to have, but it dosen't really serve much purpose in Hong Kong. So I don't think there is much value in that.

You are better off dropping the navigation and getting DDC. Superior driveability translates into better value, assuming that is what is wanted by the next driver.
I doubt too many people other than enthusiasts will care for DDC and probably nav is not important in hk. I have to accept all options I order are basically worthless during resale.

Does anyone know if I can upgrade the stereo? factory stereo upgrade is 25k (incl FRT) for basically amp and speakers. I think I can get top of the line speakers and amp for half that, but don't have expereince in HK.

I like the new 5 series too, but for 535i with some options added, the price comes to more than 800k, can probably get a used C63, which would you pick?

Well I would certainly care for a DDC if I was shopping around for a new 5 series!

Anyway, don't forget to give us your first-hand impression of the F10 once you get it, I would love to know how it compares to the E60.
