JB3 to proCEDE Questions

Hey guys! I'm planning to switch my jb3 to Vishnu proCEDE

Is it true that proCEDE doesnt make any shadow codes?

Can dealers detect proCEDE? or should I uninstall it before I get to the dealer

Whats the difference between proCEDE stage 3 and stage 4?

Thanks!!

A a rule of thumb - always remove a tune when going to the dealer. Back in by VW days, I had a spare stock ECU for my 1.8T Golf that I would swap with the chipped ECU for dealer visits.

I can't help on the differences between version 3 and version 4 (I don't actually have one...yet) but you should always remove a tune, if possible, before going to the dealer.

Congrats on the decision of switching tunes. I would do the same if in your shoes.

Should you remove a procede before going to the dealer? Uhhh let's see would you remove the jb3 before dealer appointments??? Was that a serious question?

I think I heard something about Shiv making an update for the PROcede which allows the module itself and all associated wiring to become cloaked (yes, like the Romulans) when it senses it's at the BMW service department; thus, making it possible to maintain invisibility even while installed.

Could just be a rumor though...

No, it exists - but nobody can afford it

1. Did you remove your JB3 before going to the dealer? If the answer is yes, then you've answered your own question. If you answered no, I guess you don't have a warranty or you don't care. Either way it won't matter. Personally, I think taking the 15-20 minutes to remove the thing is worth it

2. PROcede V3 and V4? V3 doesn't have autotune capability, V4 has autotune capability. Do i need to go further into this? Don't even ask about V5 though, that's all hush hush. (hint, their isn't a V5 yet, unless the new N55's will get the V5, that's a great idea... why didn't I think of that.)

3. AS for the shadow codes, there is always a possibility, but with the code clearing capability it has, I never saw any of them... I don't even think you can see the shadow codes without a BT tool anyway, but you shouldn't have any worries.
