ams exhaust w/auto =drone ?

I am considering this exhaust on my stock downpipe e90 and I am very worried about droning . The vids I've seen have been on manual cars, so I would like honest opinions from auto trans guys with this exhaust /stock downpipes. thanks alot.

There will always be some drone with AT and don't let anyone tell you otherwise....There will be some that have more than others and those exhaust with resonators will drone a drop less than the other exhaust without resonators, but like I said around 2000-2500 under load there will be some drone, REGARDLESS of what brand you buy!

AMS makes amazing exhaust..go for it! in my MT it doesn't 'drone' rather you hear a quieter engine tone.

I've had the AMS exhaust on my E90 for almost a year now. I would say it took a couple thousand miles to fully break the exhaust it. Once broken in, I felt the exhaust was slightly quieter, especially in the rpm range you're talking about. It's definitely more noticeable than stock but certainly tolerable. I highly recommend this exhaust.

I have had the AMS exhaust on my auto e90 with catless downpipes for just over a month and it is very tolerable. In the 2000rpm range there is some mild drone in the cabin but it's not obtrusive at all. I do use the manual mode more often now just to keep the sound where i want it.
