Right now I only have an active autowerks exhaust and injen dual intake on my e92. I took off my jb3 prior to being serviced recently. While being serviced the dealership updated my software in my car. Since then I have been getting a "service engine soon" light.
I took it back to the dealer and they said it was an emissions malfunction light. They checked it out everything was fine and they cleared it. Yesterday the light comes on again. What could it be? This has never happened before and only since the new software..... am I getting these check engine lights. Anyone else have the same problem? |

Not sure of the code as I do not have the bt tool. I'm in the process of getting one now.
The dealership told me it was an emissions code but it checked ok. Then it came on again I'm wondering if the new software is detecting the intake and exhaust and throwing a code

Ya get the BT and lets see the code and we can go from there... You should be able to get the code from the dealer as they should have a record of it.

Are you running with Cats removed or high flow Cats? With no O2 sim you will throw a Cat efficiency low code when OBDII readiness is set. This will occur after a delay when previous codes were deleted, once conditions for readiness are met. This can also occur with higher than normal exhaust flow.
If you do not have a BT tool, many autoparts stores will read codes for free with a generic reader. |
