Strange surge on highway
ok, today was the second day of getting on the car after my break in period.
I downed it to 3rd gear on the highway and pushed the car to 6500 rpm. As the rpms climbed, the engine felt like it was surging. It wasn't a smooth climb. Anyone know why this is happening??? The temperature out this morning was 63 degrees, and I let the car reach 200 degrees oil temp prior to stomping it. |

VTEC kicked in yo!!!
Same thing happens even in the 325. Once you pass 4500 or so, it puts out huge power. Maybe Vanos is switching around there.. I like that rush a lot though..

Did you break it in lightly? Maybe its your car begging you to keep it light again. From now on its going to respond with "you took it easy breaking me in, now you want me to do what?" Shoulda broke it in the way you intend on driving it IMO of course.

yeah...
I also think it may be the computer re-adjusting to the new driving style.

I was joking in a sarcastic manner. I agree about not turing this into a break-in thread.
