OME Spoiler installation

Just got the OEM style spoiler from Delsa (was a bit skeptical after reading about them but I took my chances) Quick delivery, nice product.

They sent the spoiler with some sort of paste/glue and plastic stick I guess to put it on with. I was specting to get the spoiler with the tape on it.

Has anyone used or done this before

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First: It's OEM...not OME....

Second: That's the betalink glue....as per Longtran, this is the stickiest stuff this side of the mess Trendix has themselves into.

The betalink should (read: WILL) hold very nicely.

Check out the OEM spolier install DIY for details:

Unless you're absolutely sure you will not be replacing this spoiler in the future, use 3M double-sided exterior mounting tape. Many have done this without event, and it too will hold well. Our roof spoilers are mounted this way.

There should be Double Sided 3M tape on one half of the spoiler and the other half should be glued down with w/e you have. Mine came with glue (not betalink), holds down fine. But seriously, it'll be really hard to take off once you put the spoiler on.

Thats what I was thinking. I dont think I trust that tube.

Would you use the 3M tape instead of the BMW kit?

What side should have the 3M upper or lower side?

What do you mean by w/e??

There is no need to use the product. The 3m double sided tape is strong enough that it will not come off. It will be especially difficult to remove the spoiler with just the tape on. The glue is overkill and not reversible.

You sure about that? I've heard members posting that their spoilers got loose and stuff...

Ive had mine done by my brother in law who is a body shop man . Put spoilers on 350Z and A6. Have not had problems. In fact, I think they would be very difficult to remove .

question to the OP: Do you have any intent to remove the spoiler? if not, go ahead and take that semen-in-a-tube and squirt that on your trunk. then slap on that spoiler!!!!!!!!
