That's pretty much what I currently do at 1/4 mile, except mashing gas pedal to the floor during break boost. What I'm specially interested in if Procede allows to dial in/pre-set RPMs to your desire for launch control so you can mash the pedal to the floor during 2 seconds....

Startupjunkie quoted " Regarding when to go WOT while brake boosting ... I feel that as long as you engage the throttle 1.0-1.5 seconds before letting go of the brakes, that would have built enough boost for a good time. If you exceed 2.0 seconds (with today's firmware), it will bog the motor (I think its some sort of safety mechanism). So that is why I recommend going WOT/Brake boost just after the tree lights up the 3 yellow lights ... it will be less than 2.0 seconds before it turns green, so you'll be good.
Thanks, Junk |

What I'm hopping for Launch control to provide is ability to dial-in pre-set RPMs you want launch from the staging line and not worry about playing with Accel pedal and monitoring your RPMs as you're trying to pay attention to tree light... That way you can consistently launch and find that sweet RPM spot for your car based on your set-up & tires to achieve good consistent 60'. Plus with talk to integrate with Turn signal indicators for RPM gear shifting (MT or AT) will help a lot improving ET runs and being consistent.

Understood. However if it's preset to 2600 and can't be changed then it brings no value, since based on your set-up, mods, tires, tire pressure & track condition, pre-launch RPMs to achieve ideal 60' for your car and therefor help improve 1/4 ET will range from car to car IMO between 2000-3000 RPM range.

Belarus - I don't watch the tach. When the first yellow light turns on I mash the gas all the way down and stare at the tree for the green light.
So essentially it's the same thing as pre-set RPM, but to build boost you need some load. Traction will be your biggest challenge if you don't have a set of gummy tires. Junk

Don't have a set of "gummys" I enjoy going to 1/4 mile, but I'm not hard core. Just looking & learning about additional features being introduce by tuners that might help me to improve my 60' & ET with my daily ride set-up, except for using race gas & higher MAPs @ 1/4 mile

I believe since the Procede has this feature, it should know when your launching. We should have the blinkers blink right before we release the brakes. This way, there won't be confusion on when to let go.
