Tinting

I know in BC we're not suppose to have any tinting at all on the front windows. I'm going to get my tinting done tomorow. I'm thinking about getting 20% on the back and 50% on the front, and hopefully then cops will leave me alone. I see so many people in town with very dark front windows. Any of you had their front windows done?

i have mine done 35% in the back and 50% in the front, and its been in for like 6 months...no problems

especially if you have a light coloured interior, the light that goes through your windshield will actually reflect better out the window, so cops wouldnt know you tinted your windows, but i think it only works for 50% front

also, if you do get pull over by cops (hopefully not for tints), turn on all of your interior lights, so it will appear to the officer that its brighter and therefore "no tints"

just some of my tricks to make the front tints less obvious to other people's eyes...

I have all my windows (except front windshield) tinted with Huper Optik 50. My car is black and my interior is black as well. I have had *knock wood* no problem with the police. And I drive by the police station almost everyday on my way to work and I often have to park near other cop cars. Your mileage may vary tho...apparently some people have been busted even for having 50% tint on their cars.

On overcast/rainy days I will open the sunroof shade so the interior looks brighter. But other than that...it's been ok.

Hey eric...I like your set up, I'm getting mine done in the next few days? Is it possible for you to post some pics of your tint?

Here you go guys, all the pics were taken in my garage at home, with no flash with my DC, i am pretty sure it will look even lighter when its outside

50% fronts, 35% rear (the difference is obvious)

50% fronts, interior lights OFF

50% fronts, interior lights ON

I got all 5 windows tinted for $170 taxes incl. with Sun Guard film
