where is the valve of the exhaust in 335i located at ?

where is the valve of the exhaust in 335i located at ? also when will it open and close? Sorry i dont really know much about this because i changed the exhaust

It is rev-dependent. Low revs = closed. High revs = open for proper exhaust flow.

Also, it's closed when the engine is cold. It only starts to open up when the engine warms up. It'll also open on idle or at low rpms. Just drive slowly through a parking garage to enjoy the pops and cracks from that left pipe!
