'09 LCI iDrive Traffic information...SLOW..

My current LCI iDrive is eally slow to download the traffic, and sometimes takes over half an hour to do so. It frequently misses big traffic events on the M25 and will state ''No traffic information available at this time''. SOmetimes after 30/40 mins it downloads a bit of traffic, then quickly forgets again.

My old LCI 330d had no such issues and downloaded very quickly indeed and was spookily accurate.

Does this sound familiar to anybody, or is there a problem with the 3rd party system that supplies the data? Is this likely to be a 'pissing in the wind' issue with the stealers?

Edited to add: my new car has DAB whereas the 330d didn't. Is this a source of the problem?

I have the same on my 330d with DAB. Having FM tuned to Classic FM fixes it.

I have been to the dealer who say its a known problem to be fixed in 39.1 (I think they said)

I am waiting for the fix, its meant to be any day now.

Just to let you know the update which fixes this is now available.

I am hoping to get it soon.
