i have 09 335xi up here in rochester ny. i wasn't interested in modding just yet. now that i have some time and few bucks saved up, i'd like to start with lights. so here are some questions:

i'm just wondering if anybody know any place where i can install mds lux h8 rings? or are they diy? and do they throw any codes? possibly warrenty void?

in ny i heard you can get pulled over for tinting? is that true? or is 25% tint okay to drive?

in and around the city they are pretty hardcore about it. i've heard you can get a ticket for each illegally tinted window. most of the time they won't pull you over just for tints, but if you're getting pulled for something else, they'll throw the tint tickets right up in there for you to enjoy.

You want the LUX 5s for the e90. They're easily DIY. No codes with any LUX product - Marc knows his shizz

Tint is always a toss-up but I believe the consensus is that it's still worth doing. Obviously limo tint is riskier than 40% or 50%, which still makes the car look great (in my opinion), depending on your interior color.
