The Braves will never be the same

Growing up in the south, I was a huge Bobby Cox fan. The Braves will never be the same without him. Greatest manager of all time IMO.

Sorry, but I never understood the appeal of hothead managers getting thrown out of games arguing calls that were on average correct. It also amazes me that he could send the Braves into 10 consecutive postseasons and only win 1 WS. Cue the Cubs jokes, yea, I would love to have had that 1 WS championship, but considering the teams he had, it's kinda hard to not objectively be underwhelmed with his tenure.

Agreed BTM (I'm a Cubs fan too)

As much as I hate him, I think Tony La Russa is the best. He's had a bigger impact on the game (along with Duncan). Joe McCarthy also is right up there.

La Russa is a scumbag, worse than Bobby Cox IMO. He has had a huge impact, but this impact has been more negative than positive, at least in the eyes of those who view steroids as an unwelcome intrusion into the game.

I dont care what you guys say, he is a great manager and did win a WS...I never believed in rating coaches based on their WS rings, yea Torre is a great manager, but his wins doesnt make him better than Bobby
