Just got my BT tool and I have some pressing questions !

Hi,

I just got my Bavarian Technic diagnostic cable and I have attempted to so some logging. But I noticed some strange things:

1. Many parameter names are in German. Is this normal or it it's just a bug in the latest software version ? I have the program set to English language.

2. I found a parameter named "engine speed" but it has a value of 200 at idle and about 1650 at 7000RPM. Is this the correct parameter to log RPM ? Maybe I should scale it somehow ?

3. I wanted to log ignition timing. Is the parameter "Zündwinkel Zylinder 1
" the correct one ? Its values seem to vary between +95 and -95...

4. I wanted to log the AFR/lambda values. Is the parameter "Lambda-Istwert" the correct one ? It varies 8 and 16, with 8 at idle.

Thanks !

All of mine is in english... I think there might be a setting you can change for language..

I've the same. Have the BT for a year now, latest s/w installed, but it still duplicates some or most parameters in german and english. Just keep going down the list. I use the english ones, i can tell you RPM reads correct. Have done quite some boost /rpm / speed logs

Wert means value as in Preiswert good value

Zudwinkel is not familiar to me but I'm not a native speaker, just exposed to it growing up and around the family.
