They are the same thing, some refer to the rear as the Trunk and some refer to it under the European name, bootlid. I'd recommend looking at VRS for the replacement, you can do them in DVWP (non-CF), single sided or double sided.

Bootlid and Trunk are interchangeable as they mean the same thing. You however, do have the choice of either going with either 1x1 or 2x2 Carbon Fiber. I do have the V CSL Style Bootlids available in either carbon fiber weave for you to choose from at a fraction of the cost!!!!

1x1 Carbon Fiber - Also known as plain carbon fiber weave, the carbon fiber weave is straight up and down similar to the pattern of a checkerboard. The OEM M3's carbon fiber roof is 1x1 carbon fiber weave.

2x2 Carbon Fiber - Also known as twill carbon fiber weave, the carbon fiber weave is diagonal.
