Thumbs up *FIXED* Cruise control dead when Procede Installed

I just installed my procede in the 335i.
The motor runs beautifully and very strong, no check engine lights.
My car is officially the fastest thing I have ever driven
However, cruise control wouldn't work at all, just like if DSC would be completely off.
After leaving the car for ~1hour, I drove it again and long behold, CC works.

Sidenote:
2nd gear is absolutely brutal if the tires hook. That's a big if... (need LSD)

Make sure you have the traction system on. (DSC & DTC)
Cruise controls works by just pushing it forward or back. push it down to deactivated. You can't push up as is used to check the map you're in.

Traction is fully on. I know how to use cruise control
It just shows --MPH
Even on map 0

Is there a video on how to read codes with the USB cable?

Is this right?

-Turn ignition on,
-Full Throttle>>Half engine light
-datalogging>>start data log,
-datalogging>>view data log,
-and look at what 'Debug Word 8' is doing?

You don't really need to read codes. If you just want to clear any hidden codes, simply double-pump the throttle with the ignition power on. No laptop required. But to read codes, you simply view the CAN DME Codes channel in the datalog window. No need to take any logs or know what any of the debug values are (although they are labeled appropriately in "Units".)

As for cruise control not working, something else is going on. Shoot me an email (shiv@vishnutuning.com) and I'll help off-line during the weekend.

Cheers,
Shiv

okay, Shiv. Thanks!
I'm going to take the Procede out in the morning to run a USB chord through the firewall anyway. I'll test CC without the procede, put it back in and report to you via email.

This is interesting because I had the same thing happen to me with the "--mph" while I was on the road. All of the sudden, cruise control just stopped working. No matter what I did, it wouldn't come back on. After about 10 minutes of driving, I gave it another shot, and it worked. I had just installed the PROcede, but couldn't figure how that would be related. Hasn't happened since, but I very rarely use cruise control.

FIXED! Thanks 2 3pair!

It just started working!!

No idea what triggered it, I'll check for any codes tomorrow.
