"bulb out" light randomly coming on (stock e92 335)

Starting a week or so ago, once every few times when I start my car, the "bulb out" light comes on. There is no bulb out and the warning goes away after 10-15 seconds. happens maybe once every 10 times I start the car. It seems like it *may* do it more when it is cold out, but I can't be sure.

a month or so ago one of the angel eye bulbs did go out and BMW replaced it, but I dont think that is connected as the problem just popped up.

anyone ever experience this?

Loose connection? Pretty hard to narrow anything down with your description.

do a search for 'brake light malfunction" and you should find a TSB for the holders for the rear bulbs . That happened to me about a year ago with my old e92 and the dealer fixed both sides in about 10 minutes.

wirckem, is absolutely right. There is a TSB on this and it can be fixed.

Happened to me too...took it to the dealer, they "fixed" it, but still occasionally happens.

just make sure they replace the WHOLE housing with the new model, otherwise it will happen again. some dealer will just replace the bulb.
