Wrapping your DPs?
I've searched and I can't find any hard evidence. Besides keeping the engine bay temp down, what are the advantages of wrapping your DPs? Does it have about the same effect as coating them? Is wrapping them healthy for the DPs/turbos since it holds most of the heat on/in the DP and not letting it radiate off?

It depends on the preperation as well.
The main thing thing that is bad for wrapping is that if oil or water gets on the wrapped material. I wrapped my DPs, but I was very cautious with not only wrapping them but also putting a liberal coat of silicone spray paint over the wrap to protect from all the elements. The silicone spray will prevent oil, water, etc from soaking into the wrap. I've had absolutely no issues.

I am considering wrapping the hot parts on my trans am turbo setup, but I wasn't sure if it would be even more beneficial to do ceramic coating and then wrap over it. i could care less about showing off shinny pipes. Would doing both on stainless steel be worth while or is it a little overkill.
