Damn, Talk About Airfare Changes...
ill be away for thanksgiving and bought my airticket last night at 8pm for $1,550 including taxes, etc. around 3am i checked the same flight and it went down to $1,150 . this was all done via kayak.
there was an article i read earlier about how using different internet browsers such as explorer, firefox, etc leads to different rates & prices not just for airline tickets but bank rates, etc. luckily, i was able to call delta and cancel my original flight without any fees, book the new one, and save me a cool $400 . i know that wed is the cheapest day to fly but maybe shopping around 3-4am is where the deals are at early bird specials? i was surprised to see the price fluctuate that fast and that much to the extent... thats all, thanks for reading

I hate booking flights. They are assrape prices no matter what. But I'm back in NY for under $500 now, so at least I got lucky with that.

Not that cheap. In the past one could get a Taipei/LAX ticket for about 18-23K NTD and now the same ticket is 32-40K NTD. Ticket prices are up big time for international flights between Asia and LAX. Flights are also full. Local carriers are too freakin cheap to buy more planes. |

My sis used to work for Travelport (Orbitz, Cheaptickets) in finance working w/pricing and said it's generally better to book late @ night (EST) and during wkdays. As far as flights, yeh, mid-wk flying is frequently the cheapest.
