MetLife. I believe my rates are decent but the most important part is that the customer service has been great for me.

I currently have amica but gonna save 15% or more by switching to geico.
No seriously geico quoted me about 30% less than what I pay now. But I suppose price isn't everything. |

Toasty-- You're right price isn't everything.. first they do this to get you in,, next year your rate will increase.. and it's back to shopping..
Second- Geico is rated A+++ I wondered what this rating is.. I mean we've all heard the different places have ratings. A rated A+ etc.. It means nothing, it's purely based on customer satisfaction.. Uhh I thought it was a real ranking system.. |

Geico give me a great rate for a pretty good insurance policy. I just renewed my policy and paid $1700 for the year. The car's a 2010 M3, and im 21 years old and i got my US licence when i was 20. It's that low because the car's registered and insured under my brothers (23 y.o) licence and im just a second driver thats fully insured.

first year its always the cheapest...then they're all the same other than service
right now I have Metlife with a company discount for 3 cars, average $800 per car with high coverage but I think it'll go up next term...guessing $900-1000 average per car wow you guys paid $1700 - $2000+

i'm with liberty mutual. i tried shopping around but my driving record points is what's hurting my premium.
if you want to save money, try bumping your deductible up from $300/$500 to $1000. just don't get into any at fault accident, cause you'll be paying that $1000 instead of $300/$500

I work in the business. The best insurance companies to deal with (as far as having a claim) are Amica, Metlife, GEICO, State Farm and Nationwide. Next would be Liberty Mutual and some of the smaller insurers like Commerce, Peerless, etc. At the very bottom would be Allstate and Progressive in a tie for last.
Cheapest (especially in the case of insurance) is not the best. Make sure you get adequate coverage to protect yourself (at least 100k, 300k) and make sure you get rental on your policy.

GEICO works best for me: Lowest rates for the most coverage as well as excellent Customer Service - never had any problems resolving issues etc.
But then again, I've never had any claims etc. (knocks on wood) |

Thanks for the tip xiant! Guess I'll go ahead with Geico.
Totally also depends where you live. When I lived in Charlestown I was paying about $2600 a year for a Jetta vr6 about 5 years ago. Now in Cambridge, it's around $2k for a 328, c230ks, and a civic. Amazing how much cheaper Cambridge is compared to "Boston", they're right next to each other. |

I have Liberty.. If you go with them tell them where you work, where you went to school or if you are in BMWCCA etc. They have affinity discounts with most major colleges and employers. You can't stack them but you can pick the highest.
