I am trying to do a group buy for the V1 radar detector. It retails for $399. I would like to get 20 people and hopefully get it for $349.

Valentine Research doesn't do group buys.

Call Valentine Research at 1 800 331 3030 and ask for a returned V1 and you will get 10% off the retail price of $399. It will be the latest version V1.8 POP2 w/ Euro-mode and 3.861 firmware and that comes with all the accessories and a 1 year warranty.

They will tell you that they don't have any returns or the waiting list is long but tell them that you don't mind waiting. I guarantee that they will ship one to you within two days.
