Has anyone tried this?

The stock pulley is weighted for a reason - it acts as a vibration damper. Look up lightweight pulleys and you'll probably find some info on it on here and through a general google search.
Basically you're risking engine damage over time with a lightweight pulley. Underdrive pulleys that are weighted are a different story. They basically maintain adequate mass but are smaller in size which turns the accessories slower reducing parasitic loss but decreasing their efficiency. |

This comes up every 1-2 months. Do NOT purchase lightweight pulleys. The crank pulley is actually called vibration dampener and it is there for a very specific reason.

I am aware of all of this (aside from any actial evidence) but was noting how light the ECS pulley is
8 ounces versus 40 ounces (NST) versus 110 ounces (OEM) so the ecs is a 94% weight reduction!!!!!!!
