Performance Diffuser Help
I was going to install my Performance Diffuser after thoroughly going through the official instructions posted here many times. I realized that the one piece to trim off is only written into the instructions on the LEFT side and not the RIGHT side. Looking at my performance diffuser, it seems that both sides are symmetrical, as is my plastic bumper cover. Therefore, I'm wondering if I need to cut BOTH the left and right side of my bumper instead of just the left.
Probably a dumb question, but I just want to be 110% sure about this before I proceed. For those of you that installed it correctly, can you give me let me know please? Thanks in advance! |

To supplement whitevdub's question from the other thread, has anyone put the OEM diffuser back on after making the cut-outs for the performance one?

Appreciate your effort to help, but that really doesn't answer the question I posted. Also, that thread was started by Whitevdub, who is second to post here in this thread, as his question also remains unanswered ![]() Thanks though. ![]() |

As for your question, I think the OEM one will fit, but it probably won't be as snug on the edges because with this cutting, you are essentially eliminating one clip on each far end of the bumper. The center six clips are plenty strong though. The reason why the Performance one will hold is because the LEFT and RIGHT edges stick out (upward and outward) and will get caught BEHIND the bumper cover, preventing those edges from coming out. I hope this answers your question to some degree. |
