LCI Halogen Headlight

Yes. I but..have a few questions for the light gurus.
  • Do all of the OEM LCI Halogen Headlights come with AE?
  • I saw some with LED side markers, but some with just a normal orange bulb. Elaborate.
I need help with this to make a purchase over the interwebs, yes I saw the pics, and that's why I ask what is the diff between LED blinkers and orange bulbs. Sorry for making a thread, just need a straight answer, promptly. Thx!

Halogen to Halogen should be completely PNP even thought they're different year headlights right? (Pre-Lci to LCI both Halogen)

Done this swap a couple of days ago on my 325 2006 and it's a direct plug'n play.
I bought Hella/ZKV LCI halogen and they have the same bulb for AE as the pre LCI Xenon.
I put Mtec V.2 to light my AE, also a direct pnp to these Hella/ZKV (just remove a metal plate).

you cant use MTEC V2 on e90 LCI's with halogens, there is no way to fit it snug

Yes you can if the manufactor of the LCI halogen headlight is Hella/ZKW, but maybe Hella/ZKV only is avalible in Europe(?).
I didn't thought it would work either and was ready to do some modification, and was really surprised when I realized that the Hella/ZKV LCI halogen headlight used exacly the same buls for AE as the ZKV pre LCI xenons.

I found some pictures on the Hella/ZKV headlights:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=lci+halogens

As you can see these are a litte bit different on the back of the headlight.
On these the Mtec V.2 and other AE bulbs that are designed for the pre LCI Xenon, is a direct fit exept for the metal plate I mention earlier. The same conector to the AE bulb as well (no cutting wires).

Just posting for archiving purposes. I got those and installed them in my E90. Strait up plug and play. There was an extra tab on the bottom but it wasn't in the way of anything so it fits without modding. I think there are 2 companies making these. One is Valeo and the other is ZKW. I think the Valeo won't have the extra tab because my original lights were from Valeo. Anyway, here's some pics if anyone cares.

Am I a douche if I drive with only the fog lights on at night?
