With the help of this thread I was able to decide on getting my Montego Blue e93 tinted with 45% all around except the windshield. I also had Advanced Solar Control in Toms River, NJ apply the clear protective film for the headlights and fogs.

Don @ Advanced Solar Control was a really cool dude with an amazing M3 himself, very knowledgeable in BMWs. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone on the forums. He did a fantastic job on the matrix and edges and I jokingly even questioned whether there really was any film on the the lights.

The car keeps its classy look with 45% tint and that was really important to me.

depends on the tint. some brands look darker than others

Only reason I get tint is so people cant see in. So go 20 or less.

I have 30% all around and while I love it, next time it will be 20. Just isn't dark enough to provide privacy. Lightly tinting the windshield could help.

Looks darker than it really is due to it being from my camera phone.

Previously had 5% on sides and back with 35% on front of my Audi and LOVED it. This one came with the sides and back already done so i didnt get to do the usual treatment.

Also find out how strict the local cops are where you live, where i am at they dont care at all.
