lol whattt ??? Oh I forgot your from Lithuania just kidding but as I said again you're most likely to gain HP you're just losing a little low end power, ask people around that switched from dci back to stock and it feels just a little more responsive on low rpm's with stock box, but it's not so bad with dci, worse with CAI

I'm asking for more info and/or a link to info to back up your claim, in hopes of maybe learning something today.... because currently I see no logic in that claim, and actually disagree with it. So where did this idea come from?

Correct, I use DCI myself, I'm fully modded, it's just when I had my car stock and not only the 335i, my other 2 cars I had before, the low end felt more responsive with stock boxes, just try and reinstall your stock boxes and you will notice it, check jpslicks posts he has stock boxes installed with his tune just because he likes the low end more responsive, and he's much more experienced with tunes than probably both of us

You lose no low end response with a CAI. Less resistence for the turbos to draw air cannot result in less power. The DCI could conceivably lose low end power though since the IATs can get quite a bit higher on a sitting engine. I have not seen data to support this though.

mine are sounding a bit loud on start up as well.... up to 3K rpms. After i reach 200 degrees they are not nearly as loud. If you continue to hear a whistle or while, you may have a boost leak of some sort. I have been working on my charge pipe a bit, taking out my dci and noticed I cracked the inlet on the front side intake where the edge of the pipe rubs on the ribbed inside. Car sounded like a jet taking off and boost was not low.... who knows how much dirt I was sucking in from under the hood though. I used some epoxy and gorillia tape and the whistle is gone.

I try not to boost until after the car reaches 200 degrees.

temp is 39 degrees F in NC.

I have a DCI guys.... Just for the record. Its good to have an aftermarket intake after 14 PSI generally, stock intake and filter are a bottleneck after that.

i just meant that my turbos whine a bit until the car reaches @200 F.

After that I hear the whistle of the turbos that is normal when you remove your stock box for a DCI. I also have my sound sheild off too. I love the sound of my turbos... I have new turbos on my 07. I don't think I beat them up too badly yet with my jb3. I have been seeing 17.5 psi on map 8 with my new charge pipe though, was thinking about dialing back to map 7 now that I am seeing so much boost
