Grindhouse
Saw Grindhouse yesterday...
It was RIDICULOUS, to the extreme. But a very enjoyable 3 hours at the movies. The best part of the whole thing was the phony movie trailers with guest stars and guest directors, before each part of the double feature. Guest stars like Cheech Marin, guest directors like Rob Zombie. Go see it! TONS of blood and guts though. |

I thought Planet Horror was pretty good. I was laughing pretty hard when the dude was rolling on the pocket bike. The 2nd movie, Death Proof, had me yawning at times...too much talking IMO. Saw this at the 11PM showing and got home at 4AM ish, hehe. |

Yeah, Deathproof was a little boring at times. Planet Terror was cool, in all it's cheesy-ness.
The 40 minutes of movie from the phony trailers is "Machete" |

Just in case you didn't know, there is a historical context behind The "Grindhouse"
I'm no expert by any means, I was just curious. Here's the basics according to Wikipedia. 70's exploitation films.... Sweet.

Prior to seeing the movie, I just know that a Grindhouse is a movie that doesn't have to make sense at all. From the over usage of blood, comedy, to nudity.
