That does look pretty good.

I would think a bit more protection in the wheel well would be a good idea for rocks and debris kicked up by the right front tire.

looks good , did you see the one i did , i ran mine out of the top of the housings and to the other side so it can be removed easily for trips to the dealer , left in conjunction with the oem cooler !!

It will definitely make a difference. Heat transfer is always hot to cold, so as long the outside air temp is lower than the oil temp some heat should be extracted. The amount of heat extracted can be increased by increasing the surface area that is exposed to the cooler air, hence the larger oil cooler. Also, the increase in the amount of oil also helps in maintain temps.

Ya know, some company really needs to come out with a $400-$500 oil cooler setup. Stett said they would have one much less expensive, but that didn't come through.

I would bet a LOT of money that if a company came out with a kit in the range of $400-$500, they would be able to EASILY sell 50-80 kits.

On another note, someone should also do some experimenting with the OEM thermostat spring, to see if there is a way to have it open around 212*. Again, if someone produced and sold a spring that opened earlier, even for $80, I would almost guarantee most enthusiasts on this forum would buy it.

Well I could take my bracket/frame to a local machine shop to see what they would charge to replicate it. Now that I've done the R&D and have the dimensions it should be easy to replicate. I doubt I have the personal time to make them myself. Then we could put together a group to see what we could get the final cost. Probably could get decent discounts on all of the parts if the order were large enough.

Let me do some investigation and we can revisit. The goal would definitely be to get it in the 500-600 range. The parts alone cost around $300. So as along as water jet time isn't outrageous, it could be in the realm of possibility.

Agreed I'll see what I can figure out. Get some cost estimates based on quantity.

Not sure if you saw my earlier post this morning. But just going to the larger oil cooler lowered my temps to the 195-200 range under a really lite cruise with the stock thermostat. Ran about 224f peak with a 11 minute hard run. Keep in mind it was 32F outside, so if it was normal 70F+ temps it could be right at the 210F range. Time will tell. Plus I'll get some real datalogging at the track in Feb.
