how to get white angel eyes?

i have a 2008 335xi coupe and the angel eyes are that yellowish color, i want that white color instead, my question is how come some angel eye kits are far more expensive then others, if you go to this link to burger motorsports there is one that says its 24 dollars and another that is 99 dollars i dont understand the differance.

Depending on the technology (LED vs HID vs halogen) the price can vary greatly. As with many things in life, you get what you pay for

lux 5.0 ARE 200 PLUS. You get what you pay for. If you want to change it out i think its fairly simple and just get any white kit.

There are a number of options but I suggest an LED replacement which are well priced, plug and play and error free. Check out the WeissLicht LED Angel Eyes which are a popular option.

Those look IDENTICAL to my weisslicht LED AE. The heatsink and mount are the same.

I've heard weisslicht are rebranded RD LEDs.

Looks like Burger has rebranded them as well.

Of course the outside can look indentical....it's what's inside that matters.

Gotta check that info source . The WeissLichts are a completely new design. They have a more fanned out Y shape that produces a complete ring rather than a bright inner and dim outer like the RD style.

We carried the RD units back in the day, beyond the routine failures and warranty issues, they had an inconsistent output and aqua blue color.

Compare the two:

I also noticed that you have an E90, we are referring to the E92 versions.

The E90 uses a complete different design that would not be accurate to show here given the OP has an E92.

Here are some low light photos to show the difference.

It has to do with the old style fiber optic rings which do not produce a very bright output with LEDs. However, you can get a brighter output with HIDs. I find them to be overpriced and too bright but it is an option of you are after the brightest output available.
