335d slow speed tansmission kick -normal??

D owners. Im having a kick in the pants when easing forward from a stop (light to medium throttle application). Today it was almostnlike a slow speed rear end collision. This convinced me i should take it in. Any comments??

I used to get that in my 1, a software update should correct it. It's a common problem with the 1s

I get hard shifting in DS mode, that's normal. I don't recall experiencing this today when I was driving, but then again I was driving around town for the most part in DS. Are you in D or DS when this occurs?

i get it if im using paddles, rolling to a stop in DS-1 and when the car comes to a complete stop it almost jolts forward, i just ignore it haha

I get the same thing in DS and D mode when taking off from a stop occasionally.

I think that's just the torque converter locking up. The "jolt" is the transition from viscous coupling to mechanical coupling.
