Error on dash!
Hi I recently installed some new audio equipment (pdx m12 and two alpine type r's) and lately I've been getting an error on the dash its the stability control signal with a exclamation mark. Its not on all the time if it turns on I just turn the car off and on again and its gone, and just today my cruise control was working fine and I when I tried to use it again it didnt work and it showed the cruise control symbol with an exclamation mark, turning the car off fixed this. Now since this started happening after I put all of this in I am wondering if it has anything to do with it because the amp is taking alot of the cars power (about 80 amps). And my lights are dimming pretty bad. I know a trip to the dealer is a good idea but I decided to try here first.

Did you tighten down you ground? I forgot to do this once and my amp kept cutting in and out.....I replaced 3 LOCs until I realized how stupid I was.

I'm running 2, 500w amps....no dimming lights.
Your install is flawed. Or your battery is going. I have to replace my battery as well. In fact, I just got my Braille lightweight battery today but won't be able to install till after I get back from vacation. Have your battery voltage checked and make sure your alternator is putting out around 14.7v under load. Our cars will limit certain systems when the battery isn't in good condition. Sounds like what you're experiencing. Although I would think DSC wouldn't be one of these systems affected. |

Yes could be the battery all my connections are nice and tight including the ground I know thats not the problem. Although yesturday I really pushed my system for the first time and with the bass pretty much maxed out for three hours I didn't get the DSC error I just don't get it. Well hopefully I can get a yellowtop soon. And I will do the voltage check later today I will have to borrow a multimeter from one of my friends.
