AEs on 09 e90 LCI
I've been researching the angel eye bulb options for the past 6 hours now and don't feel like I have an option for my car yet.
I have a 2009 e90 335i LCI with xenon active headlights. I hate the stock AEs since the rest of the lights on the car are LED and have that bluish tint (other than headlights obviously). It sounds like the LUX H8's are the brightest option, but they are $300 shipped and you have to put the power supply outside of the headlamp unit. Don't like this, and don't know that I care for the ultra-brightness they offer. I don't want to remove any body panels or parts, so OSS is out of the question. I would like a more HID look, but don't care to spend $300. The GPs seem like an option but I can't figure out where to buy them. Found this page. Is this a good seller? Are these correct for my car? http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...ITE-656-0.html Will they run hotter or cause any other problems? Based on the comparison page I don't really have a preference. Actually don't like the OSS, and I think the WeissLicht or RD LED 7k Superwhite look the best, though they all look very good. What are your thoughts? What's the best option for the LCI e90? Should I spend $20 for the GPs, or spend $300 for the LUX? If you provide feedback, please provide some detail so I can understand the advantages, rather that just a brand name. |

Derrick @ E92-lighting is an awesome vendor and he's usually the go-to guy for GP Thunder bulbs. I have the 7500k's from him and i like it a lot but i am going to install the City Vision's LED's for me e90 lci sooon. will let you know how it turns out. personally, i think LUX are great but too exp, HID's are too overwhelming so we'll see how the city visions stack up to my GP thunders.

Thank you very much to the three of you. I'd love to see some pictures of the City Vision compared to the GPThunders as well.
Gaifaun - Good luck with the install. When you get them I'd love to hear how it goes and find out where you bought them? Looks like **********s is the place to get them? Is that where you're looking? Is the pic in your sig the GP Thunder 7500k V2 bulbs? If so that looks great, even in daylight. Beautiful car. Where did you get your Gloss Black grills? |

Same here... very satisfied with the GP thunders from e92-lighting. They do also have an LED option for about $100-150, but I'm just not sure it's worth the additional cost since the GP thunders are good enough for price.
