I am starting to think that these performance shops charge up the ass for meth kit installation because they all know there will be some after-install support they have to give

I would agree with this statement but it's just not the case... And for good reason. Meth is a mod that most here can't install on there own. If they could they would also put in dps, etc. On there own or with a bro.. With meth, as you know, it's constant monitoring and upkeep. Otherwise it's just not safe and shame on the dealers for insinuating that it's as safe as other bolt ons

The meth install CONCEPT is easy.
Once you do it, and understand it, its quite simple. However, understanding your setup is crucial to the equation as mentioned earlier that maintenance and troubleshooting will show its ugly face one time or another. I feel if you cant install it yourself, you shouldnt run it. Its not for amateurs. Similar to nitrous. I dont agree that if you get DP's installed by someone else that doesnt make you not mechanically inclined. Lets face it I can easily throw on DP's in a few hours myself, but if I can pay someone XXX dollars to throw them in, on a lift, and I dont break a sweat or get on my back on the floor, some people feel that is a good price to pay. For instance I did my suspension with the help with some friends, but when it comes to uninstall it, I rather pay a shop, I just dont feel like dealing with the hassle. Last but not least, not every one has a nice garage to work in. As I work on more and more cars, I realize a lot of modifications are common sense, and so are the installs. Having the right tools and a good place to work make everything that much easier. |

Sucks when you have something installed, and all you can do is look at it, well I can atleast purge the kit which is pretty cool...Its like having sex, but instead of the real thing, jerking off!! lol I know its in the works because the command center has a function for nitrous on and off which is exciting! |
