Yeah the guy just plain forgot. He apologized and maybe in the long run it is better anyways. If I was out having a beer I wouldn't want to give the cops something like a no front plate to pull me over with....

maybe yours does too

yeah i have to go to florida and cruise....it is a long story but since i am doing it through the company i need the owners to sign for it even though i am buying the car back at the end...i am saving a ton of money doing it this way and since my parents are the owners i have to wait!!!!! it sucks being 26 and working for the pops and well taking over the company is a good thing damn it can be very difficult working with my father...it is his way or the highway and we are both very stubborn..so you could imagine...i figure i might as well go cruise for a week with them....i also figure even though i am buying the car since i am using it mostly for work and buying it through the company it would be nice to just wait for my mom and pops (the owners) to get back and have them watch me drive it off the lot....they offered to just overnight the papers but i figured it would be nice since they are letting me do it this way!!!! hopefully in about 2 years when i am the president and ceo i can just sign....i can just see it now when i am 40 and going to buy a super car...."oh sry SON we have to wait for the owners...your parents...rofl" it is ok i have an e34 dinan5 540i and 2 s55's to drive...i might go down there but ehh with my back and it not letting me golf or do a whole lot i figure i am just better of staying home....ehh such is life...at least i am saving a TON doing it this way and it is totally legitte...IT IS BOMB...but a lil bit of a pain obviously... i am extremly thankful even though i am paying for it in the end that my parents let me d it this way...and it gives me quivers b/c i know i am really taking over the company and it is not a small lil business...it is big business baby and i love it!!!!!

but now i just found out my neighbor is on life support so i am deff not leaving... she is the NICEST older lady IN THE WORLD!!!! this sucks soooo much a lot of people know this lady around where i live it seems like everyone does...this is gonna be a big blow for a lot of people on the north shore esp in glenview!!! i feel it was an honor and a privilege to have known her for my whole life...she was/is really special!!! this has calmed my car wanting a bit but i am still pumped!!! sorry for the downer guys!!!!!

I wonder why you thought that? For me, if I were going to get a 2-door, it'd be a sports car. I think the clutch is fine, it suggests a lighter than average flywheel, like I had on my RX-7. The shift action could be a little smoother though.

For some reason I thought the logic-7 included a DVD player, but it's a CD. Must have saved BMW a whole $10. So the NAV DVD has to be taken out in order to play MP3 DVDs. You'd think they could store the local area in RAM or something and not require the DVD to always be in the drive.

Are you guys having any trouble with your 1st to 2nd shifts? It seems mine are not as smooth as I would like yet.

Zen, I dont know why i thought you had a coupe. The 2 door sports cars I want I cant afford right now (Porsche 997 Carrera S or Z06), so this is the next best thing. I was wondering why you where burning music to a dvd earlier.

Texas, yeah the first to second shift is a little akward for me too, now that you mention it. Im still getting used to the shifter, coming from an S2000 its totally different and longer. Clutch is also different. But the power is amazing. I cant wait to put the procede in this week and get an additional 80 lbs of torque.

Both nice. For a sports car, I'd like something below about 7 lb/hp, as long as it's useable HP. My old modded RX-7 was 7.6 lb/hp and I remember wanting some more.

Yeah, it played the DVD+R media just fine. I need some time to learn the i-drive, but don't like sitting in my garage while doing it! Coming from a 95 540i, there are a lot of subtle things in this car that I like. For example: The GPS works in a parking garage. There is barely a gap in music while starting the car. One-button wiper activation with no need to mess with it later.

I wonder if mine will play dvd+r, probably not since I dont have navigation.

The only thing that has upset me about this car is the fact that when I lock the car when outside the car, it doesnt make a noise. Thats really driving me nuts, I might just have my dealer install the bmw alarm. Unless I can figure out a way to make it beep, or link it to the horn. Any suggestions, I really dont feel like paying $500 just to get an audio confirmation that the car is locked.

As these entertainment systems become more PC-like, I wonder if the CD interface is something like IDE. If that's true the unit is seperate from the stereo components, then you may be able to just swap your CD player for a DVD player, or even a blue-ray or HD DVD for that matter.

My car makes a quick sliding sound when the doors are locked. This can easily be heard from 20 feet away. The beeping (like my 540i's whistle - a reverse cat-call or something) is obnoxious to me.

So how are you guys enjoying your cars? Im loving my car. Got used to not having an audio confirmation of the car locking. Still havent dropped the procede in, shooting for tommorow.
