BMW Recall #2 - free injectors for most :)

http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B131410g.htm

"Not sure if this applies to Europe too (would love to !), but if your car was produced 04/02/2007 through 10/31/2008 then you have a good chance to get free injectors from BMW..." this is a quote from another post, im asking a question on it.

i know this is a newbie question so please dont get mad. i saw this post by someone a few weeks ago. but i dont understand why you would want or need new injectors? how do i know if i need this recall? thanks.

The reason why you would want new injectors, is because the recalled ones fail and when they do, your car does not run properly. duh.

In order to see if you qualify for the recall, look in the driver side doorjam of your car for the build date. If your date falls between april 07 and october 08, you qualify to get them checked out to see if they need to be replaced, due to the recall.

You would have known all this information if you read the other thread. -__-

READING FTW. As I stated, you qualified to get them checked out to see if they need to be replaced. They look at the part numbers on each of your injectors to see if they are faulty. some people get 3 injectors replaced, some people get all 6 replaced, and some get none replaced dending upon the part number on the injectors.
