Which company produced the best intake?

Hey guys, I want to get a intake for my e92 335i recently! so my question is which companies produce the best quality intake? or a cheaper ones but still got quality?(please let me know the prices). What does a good quality intake different than the cheaper ones? I researched a bit and found the price range from $95 to $435. Please let me know what does a intake do other than adding power and what is the bad side of adding a after-market intake(I don't have warranty anymore). Thanks!

Its all matter of opinion....Best are the true cold air intakes....Ultimate Racing and Stett and ofcourse Dinan but your paying 2000 for it! lol

Others will tell you differently so its all subjective when you ask this question...

If you have an intercooler and running meth, the more volume the better because the air will be cooled anyways before it enters the throttle body. However, I would not mind getting a dinan intake system over my afe.

do you have to more than double the price just to exergerate for effect? Come-on now. I have that CAI in my car. Got it installed by Tischer and it didn't even cost $1000 with labour included. Its all good and well, but please don't spread bogus rumors. OP is looking for best product and Dinan is it IMO. And I am no Dinan fan boy. I used to have their tune but dont now. Just but even I can admit facts and there is no way you can claim their CAI doesn't have the most effect as well as being hands down best quality.

I have mods from AR, Vishnu, Dinan, BMW (previously had Dinan & BMS) and I just don't hang on anyone's balls like a teak. I buy what is the best at the time.

I was thinking of the gruppe m that cost 2000! Dinah at the end of the day is around 1100 which is still a little overpriced IMO, but then again almost everything is overpriced for our cars!

My understanding is that DCIs allow more air, which helps at high boost levels, but CAIs provide colder air, which helps at all boost levels. The Dinan intake does both - it provides more air and colder air.

Wrong.... the Price: $1,099.00 + 2hr labor (Source), unless you do it yourself

Labor is what gets you depending on who/where you go to have it installed

Go to Tischer, they will in fact give you a discount. I got mine there and they installed it too. Got a much better price.

I have the BMS DCI but I'm going to do the Mr. 5 mod soon. Run a search on Mr. 5 intake mod and check that out, it's supposed to be similar to the Dinan and pretty effective.
