i need advise

i have a knocking noise in my car when its cold and i was doing some research, i have to change 12 lifters and a head gasket i think ...... but when i went to bmw hassel they told me that thats common and wont break my car......any one have any tips?
ps. i heard some people had trouble with a cylinder ?

If its not very loud then yes its common.. Sometimes it goes away by itself for a few seconds Is the lifter not getting oil or something....

did you fix it hassel said that i didnt need to fix that?

i get a similar noise sometimes
it goes away quickly though so i didnt pay it any mind

i remember reading that there is a very common ticking noise due to the lifters getting stuck. totally normal. once the engine reaches normal operating temps it should go away.

I dont know i went to impressive for that promo oil change he had but i think i may need thicker oil . thanks for your input because someone told me not to drive the car and I started to get worried since i just bought the car lol
