Anyone have wheels from Vortex Tuning?

Hey guys i'm looking into a set of 19's for the spring... I've always liked Volks, and I see Vortex Tuning carrying a set of the wheels i've been eyeing... I would get them in matte black. Does anyone know the quality of these wheels??? I'm thinking about the VT996 to give it that aggressive track look.

Thanks.

Wouldnt that be a good reason to get copy's??? I had many expensive wheels in the past including Te-37's, 3 piece Racing Harts, and a couple other exclusives.....no way in hell would I spend money again like that on real wheels....roads here are too bad. Now, town budgets and resources have been cut to much that fixing potholes and roadwork is a thing of the past.

I heard the Vortex and pretty good actually from alot of Z owners.....

I spent $4400 on my wheels... Hit a few nasty bumps, wheels are still intact

But the majority of the time I DO drive slower then everybody else just to be cautious. But that's actually a good thing because if I had shit rims I couldn't care for, I may get more enjoyment out of my JB3, but then I'd be fixing rims lol

Absolutely not.

Forged wheels can go through hell and back. Cheap cast wheels will not.

Considering how IMPORTANT wheels and tires are on a car - the best made is the only choice. At the same time, these can be well made and cheap, but I don't see that being likely

Definitely NOT... if anything the traditional BBS mesh look has become so common over the years. I mean at this point everyone is rocking some style similar to CH's, CSL's or HRE P40s - don't get me wrong, they're nice wheels but when aftermarket replicas start flooding the streets, even authentic ones become mixed up and lose their uniqueness.

I dont know gents.....I can not see spending over 2k on wheels for any car in NY/NJ. I hit mad potholes with my VMR's and those things are solid...it definately has alot to do with tire as well. Yeah if your tracking your shit and all concerned with unsprung weight, then yes light performance forged wheels are the way to go. Maybe its because I didnt pay much for my 335 but I dont think it deserves 5k wheels nor would 5k wheels last out here. (i dont know how you guys do it in the city)

I beg to differ....fixing a forged wheel is always going to be more expensive then buying a brand new cast wheel. Also, when you fix a forged wheel with welding or anything like that, it will never be like original nomatter how good the repair is. Not worth it. There are excellent quality cast wheels out there, just look at EVERY vendor pumping them into our faces!!!

Tires on the other hand are very important, I agree with you.
