Chiltons manuals
Anybody use Chiltons manuals to work on their cars? I used them back in the day when I owned a couple of Mazdas. Im due for my 60k mile service and a 6 hour drive to the dealership to plug my key in seems extreme. Its not under warranty anyway so it feels like a waste.

Chilton's and Haynes manuals are usually very basic, and often inadequate for anything more than an old change and a brake job. Some even cover more than one body style of your car, making things even more confusing.
Look up the Bentley service manual for your car. That's probably the best you are going to find. |

I looked at the one for the car at an online bookstore and it seems pretty good. I just want to know if anyone has used one for the bimmers before i pay 100$+ for a book that wont meet my needs. Thanks.
It's a 60k mile Vehicle Check. Does anyone know whats involved with that? Or where to reference it? I keep pulling up alot of stuff from another forum when I google it. Last edited by Handsome_Rob; 02-23-2011 at 03:58 PM.. |
