Job Description for Apprentice Collision Repair Technician

The role of this position is an entry level technician being mentored by an experienced BMW Collision Repair Technician. Basic job duties may include but are not limited to:

1. Damage analysis & estimate preparation

2. Disassembly and assembly of components related to collision repair

3. Repair of minor collision damage – (non structural)

4. Glass repair & replacement

5. Metal finishing

6. Welding – GMAW, STRSW, Oxy Acetylene

7. Feather edging & masking

8. Blocking

9. Use of ISID for minor diagnosis & retrieval of repair information

10. Final preparation of vehicle prior to paint process

11. Basic knowledge of ColorSystem

Must be able to drive manual transmission .
