Radio Not Switching On After Car Unused

Left the car unused for a week while on hol & when I got back into it the radio wouldn't switch back on, after about an hour it just switched back on by itself & started working again ok.

Is this normal?

Probably due to a run down battery and the protection circuitry only permitting essential services until the battery is recharged.
