I have an X-drive 335 with a manual tranny and i am looking to get my hands on a short shift kit with a weighted knob. The issue is, all the kits i seen state that they arent for XI.

It's a bit stiffer but I'm guessing that's with all ssk's. But don't quote me. But ive been reading that the manual tranny for 335's is notchy so many have changed the tranny fluid. I will be doing it in a couple of weeks.

Most short shift kits are not worth it within my experience. Granted I have no experience with this specific car. But on my last 3 cars all they did was make it harder to get in gear, required more force to get in gear, and ruined the overall drive quality. Granted those were FWD cars with linkage. The best modification for those was linkage/shifter bushings.

I would try to seek out a local that has one before spending the money ... my .02.

based on my experience with my bmw perf ssk, i would tend to agree.

its a nice upgrade, but not as good as what i was expecting. however, i have heard good things about uuc and rogue.
