Alot of you PMed me to send you a vid of the swift motorsports motorized hideaway plate in action, so I am just going to post the link here.

Have had it for awhile, and I just try my best to avoid speedbumps. Has already worked its magic on a traffic stop, got pulled, flipped the plate up, cop walked to the front... shook his head in confusion and let me go.

Good solution to a stupid and ugly problem. (Mandatory front plates in the DC Metro Area)

I have RHO plate on my car, but i've been considering selling it and getting the hideaway. The only thing that I worry about is drilling into the bumper to install this one. At least with the RHO plate, it goes into the toe hook.

How does the motorized plate handle the car wash? How was the installation?

I also have the swiftmotorsport plate. It's paid for itself already since I got pulled over a few times for no front plate and just a push of a button...BAM...plate is out.
