EVO 9 base model, track tires, and a v400 package All joking aside both your chioces right in different ways and its what you need and want your car to do. You get a well rounded car in the 335, a more performance oriented car in the c6 with comprimises and a bic lighter in the EVO.

So price-wise, the 335i w/ ProCede will be about $3.5K difference, which isn't much given the length of time I plan on keeping either car... BTW, I plan on going a track and drag strip, so I guess overall the Vette will be a better performance pkg? Correct?... Thanks to everyone for all their opinions BTW, very helpful! |

Also, both are "sports" cars and have a decent level of luxury pkges, and when ppl start comparing the upcoming M3 to the 335i w/ ProCede I think that comparing the Vette to the 335i w/ ProCede is reasonble. Vette and M3 are both V8's, so if ppl can compare an M3 to a 335i coupe, then Vette vs. 335i coupe isn't too obsurd... However, my main point of comparison was Price. Like I said numerous times, the price of a slightly used 2005 Vette (6k km's on the odo) and new 2007 BMW 335i are very close, so that's why I'm trying to decide which one to purchase... But I'm sort of leaning towards the Vette b/c of its performance, but it's still American-made (no flames please) where as the Bimmer exuberates a higher-class feeling... Damn'it, BMW should offer the 335i as a strict 2 seater, that would cut down the weight and length of the car. If they did that, I would get the 335i coupe within a heart beat...lol BTW Dave, we don't have Evo's in Canada, and I'm not about to import one from the States because it's just too much hassel. We only have a "weak" version of the Evo in Canada which is EVO RS, i think... less than 200hp = weak and not interested... Also, an EVO would be out of the question b/c it's interior is just too cheapish... At least the Vette appears more "cool/classy" sorry if that hurts your feelings b/c I know you guys at Vishnu tune a lot of Evos.... |

I'm trying to be as realistic as possible, because if I had the money, I'd probably get a Ferrari just like everyone else... But since I'm a fresh grad w/ a decent job, $$$ is still the main factor, then comes performance, luxury, and finally gas milage - because god knows that the fuel prices are going through the roof :| So like my OP says, which car will win, please don't go too off topic... But if you guys have any other suggestions for a Coupe/Sport Car around $55K Cdn that is as good in performance/luxury as a Vette or 335i Coupe, then please be my guest and do tell BTW, please suggest "used" cars that are only 2005 or newer, b/c I don't want to buy a 1995 Porsche 911 etc... u get what i mean... |

Get the Vette. You don't sound like you're going for finesse, but more for staight-line power. There's nothing wrong with that and I think you'll be happier with a C6.

I love the C6. If you were considering a C5 or the 335i I would say to lay off the payotee for a few days. C5 = Ultimate Redneckmobile C6 Z06 = Ultimate Race car under 100k
Go with the C6 as others are saying. Throw a 100 wet shot of NOS on there and run 11's @ 123 or so without worrying about braking anything. |

EVERY time i see a vet its beiing driven near or below the speed limit by a grey haired guy with a woman with very big died hair... i never see one passing people or driving in a "sporty" manner.. and the are just "big" looking .. yet i still want one

+1... the vette is a very good bang for the buck, but the interior is still horrible.

if i could only have one car, id get the 335 over the C6 everyday of the week.
yeah, i might lose at the track every once in a while to a sickkkk fast car, but the 335+procede is such a good combo of price/speed/handling/looks/daily driver factor. but if u are set on a pure sports car, then obv get the C6, as the 335 prob wont be 'raw' enough for u.
