Different brand Tire on Front and back

Hi

I currently have Goodyear eagle f1 Asymmetric tires on my e90 335i. My front tires look perfectly fine and I can go another 10-15K miles but rears are almost bald after 15K miles. Is that normal for the rear tire or do you think I have some allignment problem.

Since I only got 15K on goodyears I am thinking about getting Michelin Pilot sport PS2 for rear replacement. Now can I have goodyear in the front and Michelin in the back?

Any other tire recommendation for summer performance tire? Non RFT

Thanks

You can run different brand tires F/R, but it's not ideal. They'll have different handling/wear characteristics. That being said, I would personally run the two different tires without blinking twice.

Your wear is typical for a high performance summer. I'm lucky to get 15k on mine.

As far as what tire to run, I'd look into the RE-11s. I highly recommend them.

You can run them as you say, just be advised that I´ve experienced the 3-series to be quite twitchy when running new tires on one axle and old tires on another..

Ditto. Especially during evasive maneuvers or bad weather conditions, this can be dangerous. If you plan on getting from point A to point B temporarily, you'll be fine.
