N54 limits
So after pining for the e90 I picked up a CPO '08, AT. I've never had an AT and I still miss my 5spd '00 328i but the pull in this car is too fun.
I'm having some wastegate issues that are yet to be resolved. On my second check engine light - first one was rectified. Second is yet to be serviced. That said, what is the upper limits of the N54 without methanol? Is it safe to assume a 20% parasitic loss with the AT? I'm guessing 350whp +/-. I'm desperate to get this lag fixed but not until they get to the bottom of the wastegate issues. Glad to be on board!! |

Stock Fuel Pump DCI Upgraded downpipes Higher flow exhaust Vishnu product. Looking for reliable hp - one where I spend less time on the computer and more time with my daughter saying 'Launch!!' from the back seat. |

^^ Hehehehe...read most of both. Good reads. I'm one that investigates over and over and over again before pulling the trigger. 99% that I'll get a Vishnu tune. Think DCI is coming first though.

you might want to do both at the same time, since without a tune, the DCI will actually cause a power loss. That and Vishnu might cut you a deal if you order both at the same time.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=516185 you can easily get 420 RWHP for relatively little money.... Go to vishnutuning.com and read up on the performance stages for the 335.... tells you everything.
