For those of us who have upgraded our stock oil coolers with the VKM cooler is there any way you would consider creating a kit that would allow us to use our stock oil cooler as the transmission oil cooler instead of having to buy the entire upgrade?

That cooler is too big as a TC. You have to be careful with the amount of transmission fluid your extracting and cooling. also fitment, fittings, and other components will have to be reworked as well. Basically cost wise even if this was feasible your end cost will be the same. Proper volume and cooling is very important.

Two questions:
#1: How does this benefit current A/T users since the radiator (from what I've been told) has an intergrated A/T cooler #2: Will this setup facilitate A/T fluid changes (cooler line flush or pump inlet flush)?? |

AT 335i's overheat coolant much quicker than MT 335i's because additional heat from the AT get dumped into the cooling system. VK's AT cooler stops AT fluid from dumping heat into the engine coolant. That's all I know from Vince's previous postings. Vince? He might be busy taking care of his cylinder 6 issues...

We are waiting to see what happens when we hook up the new radiator, we may not actually need to isolate the radiator or even run a second transcooler. I do remember your messages.

Vince: Any updates on this? Maybe an auxiliary water radiator and high performance radiator fan ala BMW Performance would make more sense?
