Intercooler vs. Water/Meth
Ok so I have catless downpipes, exhaust, intake and JB4. Was wondering what should be my next step for the most power gain? I'm guessing intercooler before water/meth but what your guys input.

The intercooler is a permanent mod, you won't always run with meth or water. However, I have to say that methanol or even water injection drops the IAT more that the best of the intercoolers.

This comes from someone who installed meth before fmic.

I would get the fmic first. Granted it won't reduce your IATs as much as MEth would but at least it is a permanent mod => Passive cooling! You don't want to be spraying all the time (I presume) Once you have that in place, go for meth

Meth has better gains but it's not on 100% of the time.
FMIC is best for daily applications. I'm very pleased with my Aquamist and ER FMIC but there are many brands out there, just depends on how much you want to spend and what types of failsafes you want for the meth. I was the first N54 to run an Aquamist kit, they are hugly popular with other cars, and I have nothing but great resuslts with it, plus it integrates with my Procede's map switching. ER's intercooler is big and requires cutting but it came with a CF shroud around the IC and a chargepipe with BOV.

Intercooler first IMO. Meth is very useful, but the intercooler will always be working for you and I'd also hold off on the purchase of meth until the plug and play meth kit is finished.

if you're considering meth, then the pressure drop across the fmic would be the primary consideration then cooling in my opinion. I believe most upgraded fmics will yield about 1.5psi less at the outlet.

FMIC should always come first to eliminate possible heat soak (unless you beat the crap out of it). Get that then use the meth, it would be a lot healthier for the car.

What is a good brand intercooler with best performance? Is cp-e a good one? Because I can get a really good deal on one locally. Who's got one and what are your thoughts?

my personal opinion, spring for any basic kit, but get a flow sensor with it. I recommend the SnowPerformance SafeInjection. Topgearsolutions can help you out.
