I really hate to get involved in this thread, but I have to ask -- Are we certain the car DIDN'T have an oil cooler?

February delivery. I seem to remember one other post describing a similair condition going back a few months.

The Car "Did not have an oil cooler". Crevier confirmed it and are installing one with the new engine. BMW does not even know how the engine detonated. No confirmation on the cause. He gets it back this monday, so i will see how it drives with a new engine. I almost jumped the gun on the 335 but have a little more patience untile the M3 arrives. I guess i can be R&D for that one
